Parking permitted

This sign means that parking is permitted in a parking space or on a side section of the road where the sign is located. If the sign is located on a road, the parking section starts from where the sign is located and applies, in accordance with what is stated on an additional sign, to where another regulation on stopping or parking is located, or otherwise to the next junction with a road other than that referred to in chap. 3, section 21, paragraph 2 of the traffic ordinance. If another regulation applies for a short section, the parking permission applies after the end of the section without the sign needing to be repeated. If the sign is used at a specially designated car park, the sign applies to the whole car park. The sign does not give the right to park at locations where, under the traffic ordinances, vehicles may not stop or park unless such a right is clearly indicated by the location of the sign or is stated on an additional sign. Neither does the sign give the right to park in contravention of chapter 3, section 49 a, if the sign is used by a landowner according to the law (1984:318) for fees for illegal parking, the sign states that parking is permitted, however, a maximum of 24 hours in succession on weekdays, except weekdays before Sundays and holidays, unless otherwise stated by an additional sign. The sign can be part of a location sign. If the sign is used as preparatory information, information about the car park’s name, whether the car park is full or whether there are available spaces is stated on the sign.

Disabled

This sign means that the indication on the sign applies to those who may park according to a parking permit that is covered in chapter 13, sections 8 or 9 of the traffic ordinance. The sign is only used under the E19 sign, parking. If the time is stated with sign T6, time restrictions, the supplementary instructions apply according to regulations for sign T6, time restrictions.

Fees

The sign states that fees must be paid for parking according to the rate stated on the parking meter, automatic ticket machine or equivalent and that other conditions of parking that are stated must be observed. If the time is stated according to sign T6, time restrictions, the supplementary instructions apply in accordance with the regulations for sign T6, time restrictions.

Permitted time for parking

The sign indicates the longest time period for parking that is permitted. If the time is stated according to sign T6, time restrictions, the supplementary instructions apply in accordance with the regulations for sign T6, time restrictions.

Residents

The sign indicates that Residents of an area, with permits, may park according to special conditions. The text may be supplemented with an area designation or similar. If the time is stated according to sign T6, time restrictions, the supplementary instructions apply in accordance with the regulations for sign T6, time restrictions.

Parking ticket

The sign indicates that parking is free but that a ticket must be used when parking. If the time is stated according to sign T6, time restrictions, the supplementary instructions apply in accordance with the regulations for sign T6, time restrictions.

Position of parked vehicles

The sign indicates how vehicles should be parked in a car park. The sign is adapted to the conditions in the car park.

Charging point

The sign indicates a charging point for external charging of electricity for vehicular propulsion. The sign is only used under sign E19, parking, and indicates that only vehicles that can be externally charged with electricity for the vehicle’s propulsion may be parked here.

Parking prohibited

The sign indicates that parking is prohibited. The restriction applies to the side of the road on which the sign is located. The restriction starts where the sign is located and applies in accordance with what is stated on an additional sign, to the location where another regulation on stopping or parking is marked or otherwise to the next junction with a road other than that referred to in chapter 3, section 21, paragraph 2 of the traffic ordinance (1998:1276) or to the location preceding that where an equivalent sign with additional sign T11, section, with a downward pointing arrow has been erected. If another regulation applies for a short section, the restriction continues after the end of the section without being repeated. The restriction also applies without the sign being repeated where a car park is located along the side of the road. The sign does not give the right to stop at locations where, under the traffic ordinances, vehicles may not stop or park unless such a right is clearly indicated by the location of the sign or is stated on an additional sign.

Stopping or Parking prohibited

The sign indicates that stopping or parking is prohibited. The regulations for sign C35, parking prohibited, paragraph 2 also apply to this sign.

Time restrictions

The sign states when the restriction on the road sign applies. If the time is used in combination with other conditions the sign also indicates when these conditions apply. Black or white numbers without brackets refer to weekdays except for weekdays before Sundays or holidays. Black or white numbers within brackets refer to weekdays before Sundays or holidays. Red numbers refer to Sundays or holidays. If the restriction extends past midnight, the time period after midnight applies to the following day. If a certain day or weekday is indicated, the regulation applies to that day regardless of whether the day is a weekday, Sunday or holiday.
